The 2016 Ch?teau Corton-Grancey Grand Cru is showing very well from bottle, unfurling in the glass with a youthfully tight-knit bouquet of plums, cassis, subtle spices and incipient hints of forest floor. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, deep and concentrated, with tangy acids, fine but firm structuring tannins and a long, expansive finish. Attractively complete and built for the cellar, this will reward bottle age. (End of January 2019, The Wine Advocate, 1st Feb 2019)
