Tasted blind at the Burgundy 2012 tasting in Beaune. The 2012 Meursault 1er Cru Bouchere from Domaine des Comtes-Lafon has a controlled， linear and focused bouquet that is very well defined， poised and mineral-laden， a bouquet that will reward long-term cellaring. The palate is fresh and crisp， the acidity very well judged with wonderful tension on the classy， sophisticated and saline finish. This is an outstanding Meursault that shows real craftsmanship - superb.

Tasting note: Light reduction flattens the fruit and I would advise decanting this if youre tempted to crack a bottle in its youth. There is fine vibrancy to the slightly bigger-bodied yet delicate medium weight flavors that possess really lovely focus on the balanced and impressively persistent finish. This is a solidly concentrated wine of harmony and finesse but with the natural generosity of the 2012 vintage that should allow it to be approachable young.
